Our Hunts

There are four categories of hunts as compared to just 3 in past years. We have 15,000 acres where most hunts take place in one of our 2000-3000 acre hunt areas. Please read the description carefully and decide what type of hunt you desire. Since there are a limited number of hunts available, it would be best to get your reservations in early. Although there will be animals available to everyone that makes a reservation, the early hunters get the best variety to chose from. We have 4 types of buffalo hunts available form October through February. Check our Hunt Calendar for open dates. If you want reasonable meat, you may be interested in a cow hunt. For a wide range of tender cuts, you may prefer a young bull hunt. (These bulls are 2 ½ to 3 years old.) For the sportsman who desires meat and an impressive head to mount, the mature bull hunt may be the correct choice. Regardless of which hunt you choose, you will get the entire animal. All hunts must be confirmed with a nonrefundable deposit.
Choice Bulls	1500-2000# live weight $3575
This hunt is for the discriminating hunter who wants the best and wants to decide for himself which bull he likes. This is an unrestricted guided hunt on our best bulls. We take you out on foot, stalk, and then you can choose any bull you see. The bulls will range in age from 4 years old to 10 years old depending on your taste. Included: Field dressing, skinning, and quartering. Two nights food and lodging for hunter. $200 extra for each additional non-hunter. $100 each for additional nights beyond the included two nights.
Choice Cows	900-1000# live weight $1,975
This hunt is for the biggest, nicest cows on the ranch, and takes place in the same area as the choice bull hunt. As with the bull hunts, you can choose any cow you see. We don't tell you which cow you can shoot or which cow you cant shoot. They are all fair game. These cows are great eating and have great heads with fabulous horns and hides. The average person would think these animals were bulls if they see the head mount. Included: Field dressing, skinning, and quartering. Two nights food and lodging for hunter. $200 extra for each additional non-hunter. $100 each for additional nights beyond the included two nights.
3 Year Old Bulls	950-1050# live weight $2475
These bulls are for the hunter who wants a nice trophy or skull mount but wants a younger animal with prime, tender meat. These animals are our most popular hunt because you get a very impressive head and hide, but you also get meat that is very good and tender. Included: Field dressing, skinning, and quartering. Two nights food and lodging for hunter. $200 extra for each additional non-hunter. $100 each for additional nights beyond the included two nights.
2 Year Old Bulls	700-900# live weight $1,975
These bulls are the same as the 3 year old bulls with slightly smaller horns and slightly smaller body, but with very good , tasty meat. Included: Field dressing, skinning, and quartering. Two nights food and lodging for hunter. $200 extra for each additional non-hunter. $100 each for additional nights beyond the included two nights.
Regardless of which hunt you choose, you will enjoy a real hunt on the open prairies of South Dakota. It is sure to be a hunting adventure that you will remember and talk about for years to come.
There are a limited number of large bulls available for the trophy hunter. Most of these bulls measure over 22" from horn tip.
