In addition to wide open prairie, we have a very beautiful canyon called "Cedar Canyon" that runs through our property. Cedar Canyon is home to a great variety of wild life. Hunters coming to our ranch enjoy some of the best deer hunting in western South Dakota. Hundreds of wild Merriam Turkeys make our ranch their home. The alert adventurer may see coyotes, fox, raccoons, porcupines, rabbits, turkeys, grouse, or a rare mountain lion, which roam free in the canyon. Prairie dogs are also present in large quantities, and hunters are allowed to hunt them as well.

Although no license is needed for buffalo, all other wild game hunting requires a license from the state of South Dakota. Applications are available on line at www.sdgfp.info . Rifle licenses are awarded in a drawing. In the first drawing, out-of-state licenses are restricted, in the subsequent drawings, out-of-state hunters have the same chance as in-state hunters. Archery licenses are not restricted. Some tags are for one animal only; other tags allow more than one. The fees listed below are charged by the ranch on a per animal basis. The hunter is responsible for purchasing the appropriate state licenses. Buffalo can be hunted in combination with any wildlife. Check our Hunt Calendar for open dates.  The ranch does not charge for hunting prairie dogs if you purchase one of our other packages.  

Mule Deer or White Tail Deer $1,500 - Includes 2 meals per day and lodging for 3 nights for one hunter. Additional days can be arranged at the rate of $100/day/person. 

Antelope $1,200 - Includes 2 meals per day and lodging for 3 nights for one hunter. Additional days can be arranged at the rate of $100/day/person.

Prairie Turkey $600 - Includes 2 meals per day and lodging for 2 nights for one hunter. Additional days can be arranged at the rate of $100/day/hunter.

Prairie Dog Hunting- $200/person/day
